Centenary Window

Wednesday 23rd May 2012 marked a very special day in the history of our school. It was on this day, 100 years ago, that the building was first opened as an educational establishment.

To mark this momentous occasion the children have:

  • designed class stained glass windows around a specific aspect of the school/area history.
  • researched and produced information leaflets about the area their class has been learning about.
  • submitted ideas for a permanent stained glass window that has been created and installed.
  • interviewed previous pupils to try to find out how the school has changed.

The Friends of the School (FOTS) have worked tirelessly to plan and prepare for the centenary fair on the 26th May. It promises to be a fantastic day including street dance, police dog demonstrations, Morris Dancing and the unveiling of the window.
